Reddit Gift Exchange: Secret Santa

A dear friend of mine encouraged me this year to join redditgifts.  Since I have the wonderful habit of taking up what he suggests because it ends up becoming fun (like blogging and the mcchris message board) I did it.  This will be my first time being a part of a gift exchange through redditgifts.  I have been a part of other Secret Santa exchanges and after I got burned once I have had a sour attitude about it.  This was from a gal I had known for a long time on the mcchris message board.  She even promised to make it up to me and never did.  Yeah I am still a little sore about it, so what?!

Cinder block between books! Yes! Except about a month ago an old dude wearing a towel wielding a cinder block was shot and killed by 2 members of the sheriffs office. I wonder if he got to read this little activity book and that is where he got the idea from?

mc chris show in Santa Barbara!

So I went with Adrian to watch mc chris in Santa Barbara. It's always fun to go watch mc chris with Adrian since we have been doing it since 2006ish or was it 2005? I can't really recall now because, well just because! mc was promoting his latest raps with the cd pictured below. I was delightfully surprised when mc handed me a copy and signed the front for me. Awww, for free??? Yes, yes for free.

It wasn't until I opened up the sleeve and found my message board handle under: This round I'd like to thank all the die hard mc chris frans for eight years of loyal support, great ideas and lots of love! And if you look carefully in the list below about the 7th line I am listed (as xanaxjunkee) right between CKU and Neally.

I got warm and fuzzies over all of this and it feels pretty fucking rad to know you are thanked in a cd sleeve by an artist that you helped along his career for just being their and showing support.

LoJo lovings of doom!

So Lauren came to visit back in May. I had her take one of my Hello Kitty t-shirts and she totally tie dyed it for me :D This is the second Hello Kitty shirt she has dyed for me, she has a talent for this type of stuff. So here it is and the awesome card she sent with it too. Hooray for awesome hand made giftys of doom!

LoJo sends a bento!

LoJo sent me a bento box! And it totally came with a little fishy guy so I can put soy sauce/hot sauce or fish sauce in my bento. Hooray for lunch time fun stuff!

mc chris show

So after a mad, fast drive from Pomona to SLO… I made it!!! About 10 or 15 minutes late, but I had to go. So we got to watch mc get the crowd, of mostly very unhealthy couchlings, work up a sweat. I do have to say that it had them pumped more than ‘Sweatin’ to the Oldies’ ever would. I wouldn’t say it was a work out though…. But it was good fun and it was awesome to see mc again. Like the birdcore shirt? Well its my peepee jammas not a shirt. I asked Taylor if they still had the freebie T’s for message board members. He said yes, but only in 2x…. I am more of a triple x fan myself but I took the 2x and will use it as a peepee jamma. I wore it at the show over like 3 or 4 layers of shirts…. no I wasn’t nearly as hot as some people there.


Garrett had their first mc show, got his ticket autographed and got to take the famous flip-off pic with mc. Really if it wasn’t for me being there… it almost looks like these pictured had us Photoshopped in. I suppose mc has been working on his ‘grrr’ face for a while… very proficient.


I have no idea what happened to the missing picture of Aaron; we got him with mc too. Here is the lovely Kate with mc. Notice how she is making herself shorty when standing next to him. And where the hell was Mike???
But if you look at the pic Adrian posted, you can see the arm around the shoulder going on. *I think the roadie wanted some of Adrian* His arm is up and coming around and he is looking longingly at Adrian. Oh no!!!!! Aahahahhahahaa.
